4 Designers

Adrian Shaufgnessy-This is Real Art
Adrian.S is Designer, writer and editor. The book "How to be a graphic designer without losing your soul" was written by him. I quote his speech below: What attributes does the young graphic designer need? - Cultural awareness, communication, integrity. As well as possessing cultural awareness and being aware of the world beyond graphic design, the modern designer needs to be a skilled communicator. you have to talk about your work. This aspect of design work is frequently underestimated: an ablity to use words clearly, pointedly, and persuasively is at all times relevant to design work.

Norman Potter said 'what is a designer'?  Often what is good is rejected; it's often the presentation of the idea that is rejected. Integrity in design is a bit like obesity in ballet dancers- you don't often see it; this is not because designer lacks honesty and decency; quite the opposite. Rather it is because preserving integrity in the remorseless climate of modern business is difficult. If we believe in nothing then our clients will have no reason to believe us. As his speech above, I definitely believe a good communicator has the key be a good designer not only Graphic field but can be any design industry.

Andrew Shoben is the founder of Greyworld, a collection of work that create works in public spaces- past of city that people see every day but normally ignore. For this project the idea comes from the aquarium in Chinese Restaurant. He mentions that no traditional Graphic Design Opportunity exists. What will be the next graphic design movement? Stop calling yourself Graphic designer. Work in all disciplines.  we all can create digital excellence with our fundamental ideas.

With their cosmopolitan feel, the 4 designer conferences inspired and entertained me. Designers showed their portfolio from the past, present and some previews of upcoming work.
